The Rincon Optimist Club is part of Optimist International and has been serving the children and youth of Tucson since 1958.  We have approximately 50 dues paying members and 2 Friends of the Optimists and we are still growing.  We support two Junior Optimist Clubs on an ongoing basis, developing the future optimists of our community.  We sponsor a minimum of three fundraisers a year.  In addition, we have many club projects that contribute to the well being of the children and youth of our community.  To find out what projects we are currently working on please refer to the tab above marked projects.
We meet every Tuesday at the Forty Niners Country Club at 11:45 for lunch and a status of our ongoing efforts associated with children and youth.  The club is located at 12000 E. Tanque Verde Road (on the North East side of Tucson).
Membership dues are $100 annually, and are prorated based on when a person joins the club.
Optimist International  is an association of more than 2,900 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to
bringing out the best in children and youth.
Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to children and youth.  The attitude of the members of the Optimist Clubs helps empower children and youth to be the best they can be.
Each Optimist Club determines the needs of the children and youth in its community and conducts programs to meet those needs.  Every year Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over 6 million children and youth.
